Kimberly Timmons Interiors received a prestigious honor Wednesday night, June, 17th, 2015 from Colorado Biz Magazine as one of the Top Women-Owned Business in Colorado. Competing against many other women-owned businesses spanning all industries, Kimberly Timmons-Beutner was excited to be named along with some of the most entrepreneurial women in the state.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized in this way, not for myself, but for the many talented women and men that work at our firm,” Timmons-Beutner said.
As a vital source of opportunity and an avenue to improve economic circumstances for everyone, small-business ownership is essential to building a vibrant and sustainable economy. Currently, 9.1 million women own businesses in the United States, accounting for 7.9 million jobs and $1.4 trillion in revenues; a statistic that has been steadily rising.
In recognition of this increase, Colorado Biz Magazine celebrates women-owned businesses and with this award, has acknowledged KTI for its contribution to the economy and business culture of Colorado. Criteria for this recognition includes a qualifying increase in firm revenue from 2013 to 2014. KTI creates distinctive interiors defined by tailored and elegance and inspired by each client’s values, architectural context, and local cultural references. Since the firm’s founding in 1997, KTI’s designs for hospitality, residential, commercial, and interior merchandising have garnered close to 100 awards and been published in dozens of magazines.
KTI’s staff of 15 interior designers is supported by 4 administrative professionals. An international portfolio, charitable giving, and active participation in a wide range of industry associations further distinguish KTI as one of Colorado’s top women-owned businesses.
