October 2010 – Denver, Colorado – Kimberly Timmons Interiors recently hired Carissa Thompson, NCIDQ Certificate Number 019747, NEWH as a senior designer / project lead for its award-winning Hospitality Team. As a Colorado State University graduate, Carissa has been working in the Denver design industry for the past 11 years in the fields of hospitality, resort, entertainment/casino, residential and commercial design. Working the bulk of her career in the fields of gaming and resort design, Carissa has successfully led design efforts for projects budgeted upward of 250 million, consisting not only of casino design, but high-end dining, spas, pools, fitness, lodging, convention centers and more, many of which have received recognition through awards and publication acknowledgment. A few of her key career projects while designing at Worth Group include; Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort Casino in Mescalero, New Mexico; Renovations of the historic French Lick Springs Resort / Casino and the West Baden Resort in French Lick, Indiana; and most recently, the Choctaw Resort and Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. Carissa is an exceptional problem solver and adopts many roles within the realm of her profession. She enjoys the many aspects that interior design has to offer and the versatility each project can bring. She is committed to bold and unique design that is specifically catered to each client and facility. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude along with her visualization, excellent communication, technical skills, and natural aptitude for design make her a strong new addition to KTI’s team.
