As 2017 begins in a whirlwind, the team at Kimberly Timmons Interiors is reminded that doing something great is often about doing something new. For firm principal, Kimberly Timmons-Beutner, this year that starts with being a featured speaker at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando, where she will be the co-host of an educational workshop on residential customization. Titled From Brushed & Polished to Roughhewn & Reclaimed: Dynamic, Timeless Interior Details, Kimberly, along with Mary DeWalt, of Mary DeWalt Design Group will be exploring trends in creating inspiring interiors that embody the lifestyle homeowners imagine. Together with the audience, they will cover interior finish materials, enhancing spaces through layered lighting and architectural detailing, and honing in on buyer demographics and price points.
Kimberly understands the importance of sharing her insights with builders, buyers, and vendors while pushing her own boundaries and allowing fresh experiences to fuel ideas. Changing user lifestyles, demographic perspectives and cultural influences compel us to continually broaden design’s boundaries as well. It is in this spirit of taking one more step with each opportunity that advances our expertise and evolves our craft.
2017 will show us new colors, new textures, patterns, and possibilities – some will be amazing. At KTI we will rely on the fundamentals – color, texture, proportion, and balance – to evaluate the possibilities of tomorrow with an eager eye for that one thing we can do that changes everything for the better. We are excited to start a new year and welcome new challenges because at Kimberly Timmons Interiors we are always up for doing something new.
