Founded in 1997 by Kimberly Timmons-Beutner and based in Denver, Colorado, KTI’s spirited approach has earned them a loyal local and international clientele, as well as national industry recognition. Kimberly Timmons-Beutner ASID, IIDA (NCIDQ Certificate No. 020479)


For the last 25 years Kimberly Timmons-Beutner has been making her mark in the design industry. She founded KTI in 1997 and continues to build upon an exceptional portfolio of work. Her passion for design is contagious and she encourages her team to create the best possible design solutions and believes great design is in the details. An avid learner who stays current with the latest design trends, Kimberly is also a keen listener with an unerring sense of what will delight each client. Her leadership, honesty, and commitment to artistic excellence and client collaboration has helped KTI develop long-lasting relationships with the nation’s premier builders, hospitality developers, restaurateurs, and architects worldwide. Kimberly graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Colorado. In 2008, she was inducted into the Art Institute’s Hall of Fame and in 2010, she was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters. She is an active board member of the HBA of Metro Denver’s Sales & Marketing Council. Previously, she served on the board for the HBA’s 50+ Housing Council and as a member of HomeAid Colorado’s Fundraising Committee. Kimberly is also a member of the National Association of Women in Construction and a devoted supporter of the arts and local design schools. International travel for work and with her family feeds her soul and inspires her creativity. When she is not working, she enjoys tandem cycling with her husband.

Carissa Thompson (NCIDQ Certificate No. 019747)

Design Director, Hospitality & Commercial

Carissa has comprehensive experience in hospitality design including resort hotels, restaurants, spa & fitness, private golf clubhouses, entertainment and gaming. She holds membership in both IIDA and NEWH and is NCIDQ certified, being very active within the Denver design community where she is highly respected by her peers in the industry. Carissa has a passion for design and carries it throughout her professional and personal life, holding a countless number of hobbies from making jewelry, sewing elaborate Halloween costumes to creating decorative masks. She enjoys the outdoors, loves to hike, camp and is fervent about rockclimbing in the stunning mountains of Colorado.

Dean LeManske

Director of Production, CAD/IT

Dean is not a native of Colorado, but his heart has always been drawn to the mountains. After graduating from Kansas State University in 1993, he spent four long years in KC building on his professional skills. In 97 he and his wife decided it was time to move to Colorado. Since then, he has worked for Interior Design and Architectural firms as well as being a successful small business owner. With over 20 years of experience, Dean has established standards and practices that help KTI produce quality documents efficiently and economically.

Quirky talent: Pit master - I love to smoke Brisket, Tri Tip Steak, but mostly Pulled Pork

Patti Nies

Office Manager, KTI

Patti brings over 20 years of experience to Kimberly Timmons Interiors, with experience in accounting from the banking, oil and gas, aerospace and non-profit industries. She has two grown daughters, one married, following Patti’s career in Banking and living in Ohio while the younger daughter is a successful massage therapist living in Mobile, AL. Patti manages the day to day activity of Kimberly Timmons Interiors, as well as keeping the finances in order. In her spare time, Patti enjoys spending time with her husband, two puppies and waits for the next Bronco season to start!

Kim McInnes

Project Manager, Residential

A leader on KTI’s residential design team, Kim McInnes presents more than 27 years of hands-on design experience. Over many years with KTI, she has led numerous award-winning projects from inception to completion by working with clients and builders to fine-tune the details that bring homes to life. Kim enjoys helping home owners discover their initial inspirations and then builds a palette of complementary colors, textures, materials and finishes by presenting options and allowing the design to grow organically. Her thoughtful approach to project management promotes collaboration around the client’s needs, wants and dreams while balancing aesthetics, budget and schedule. Her extensive background in art and procurement helps achieve memorable designs. Kim’s favorite part of the process is the moment when the design is complete and the hard work is reflected in the finished home.
Outside of the office, Kim is a dedicated gardener, continually recreating an ever expanding landscape in her backyard. She also is an avid traveler who delights in finding new inspiration for her work in far flung places.

Savannah Schafer

Project Manager, Interior Merchandising

Savannah has been a member of the KTI team for eight years. Savannah graduated from Arapahoe Community College with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design. From starting as an intern just out of college to working her way up to Project Manager, her passion for design drives her desire to create fresh, creative, memorable homes. She enjoys working with each builder, alongside her talented design team, to create beautiful homes that enhance and compliment the interior architecture in each community. Savannah’s passion for design carries into her personal life, where she enjoys spending time with her husband remodeling and updating their home. Life is busy with three boys at home but her favorite hobby will always be her family.

LeKathryn Champine

Project Manager Consultant, Hospitality & Commercial

LeKathryn Champine is a highly qualified, motivated, creative professional with extensive experience in hospitality. Her experience includes resort casinos, hotels, restaurants, spas, retail, senior facilities, multifamily housing, historical, new construction, and renovation. LeKathryn is engaged in all phases of the design process including client contact, programming, concept vision, schematic design, animation coordination, design development, FFE and construction documents, purchasing coordination, construction administration, installation, and photography styling. She has a strong passion for the creative design process and a deep respect for the client’s needs. Her ability to respond quickly while maintaining excellence in creativity and quality of design sets her apart from many. LeKathryn is a member of ASID, NEWH, LEED Associate and is NCIDQ qualified. She enjoys spending time at her mountain log cabin with her husband and labs, gardening, hiking, and being patted on the back by the mountain gorillas in Rwanda.

Amber Bryan

Project Manager, Hospitality & Commercial

An NCIDQ certified interior designer, Amber’s career has concentrated on hospitality interiors where creating luxurious user experiences have been the primary focus of her work. In her nine years of practice, Amber has been involved in the design of ultra-premium hotels, casinos, restaurants, spas, and event centers, among others. A skilled project manager, Amber is equally adept at leading clients through the finer details of the decision making process and the hands-on development of life-like renderings and construction documentation. She strives to balance project costs and schedules with a refined appreciation for the destination qualities required to achieve high-end hospitality environments.

Shelley Thomson

Project Manager, Hospitality & Commercial

A senior interior designer with a wealth of high-end hospitality experience completed on an International scale, Shelley takes a leadership role in KTI’s hospitality projects. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a BFA in Interior Design, Shelley joined Fairfield Resorts where she developed an owner’s perspective on resort design shaped by an exceptional guest experience and efficient staff functionality. Since 2002, Shelley has been involved in numerous five-star resort projects including a JW Marriott in Bogota, Columbia; Dubai’s Atlantis the Palm; and The Venetian in Macau, China.
At KTI Shelley is engaged in all phases of design from inception to completion and seeks to impart her strong appreciation for an ultra-luxurious guest experience on each project she touches. She is a skilled communicator and collaborator who works closely with all facets of the design, construction, and the ownership team to create timeless environments that respect project budgets and schedules. Beyond her work at KTI, Shelley is a mother of three who enjoys Colorado’s wonderful weather and landscapes through outdoor adventures.

Shannon McLaughlin

Purchasing Manager,

A versatile interior design professional, Shannon presents a strong combination of extensive product knowledge, acute business sensibilities, and strong people skills. As KTI’s Purchasing Manager, Shannon manages all product purchases, delivery, and inspection as materials, furnishings, wall hangings, and accessories are procured. She maintains active relationships with product vendors and uses a variety of strategies to secure premium products at the best price while synchronizing delivery and installation schedules. If products are damaged during shipping or there are logistical challenges of getting pieces to places on time, Shannon finds solutions. Shannon’s professional experience includes both purchasing management and product representation responsibilities at design firms, design centers, product showrooms and a hospitality management firm. Outside of the office Shannon, a Colorado-native, practices yoga, and stokes her creative fires by drawing and painting. She also enjoys the year-round great weather with her friends at Denver’s many parks.

Stacey Drake

Designer, Interior Merchandising

Stacey interned at KTI while completing her design degree at Arapahoe Community College. She quickly found her niche with the Interior Merchandising Team. The best part of her job is purchasing and expediting because it encompasses problem solving, organization, forming relationships with vendors, and sticking to a budget. In Stacey’s spare time, she keeps busy by spending time with her family and friends. She has a passion for cheerleading and coaches a weekly cheer class for high school girls. She also loves to hike the Colorado 14ers and dreams of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums.

Rachel Vanek

Designer, Interior Merchandising

Rachel has always had a passion for every type of design. Prior to establishing her career as an interior designer, she worked as a graphic designer where she achieved skills that help her in the interior design field as well. While pursuing her interior design degree at Arapahoe Community College, Rachel came to work at KTI as an intern for the Interior Merchandising Team. Her attention to detail and true love for the job has helped her become the designer she is today. Outside of work she spends time working on her numerous design related hobbies which include everything from scrapbooking to glasswork, photography to movies and even painting her nails.

Trang Dang

Designer, Hospitality & Commercial

At the age of 15, Trang left her home in Vietnam to pursue her educational dreams, first in Tulsa, Oklahoma and then in sunny Sarasota, Florida. She graduated with honors from Ringling College of Art and Design, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design with a minor in Business of Art and Design in 2014. Today, Trang is happy to have reached the beautiful mountains of Colorado’s Front Range, calling Denver home.
Having worked on many different types of interiors - from model homes to single family residential, restaurants and resorts - Trang found her calling in designing for hospitality clients. In her work, Trang believes in the unlimited and universal power of design as the solution to each project’s unique challenges.
In addition to her love of all things interior, she has a passion for graphic design and photography. Trang finds constant inspiration in nature, whether at the beach or in the mountains. She loves paddle boarding, boating, hiking, snowboarding, and travel adventures of all varieties, especially when her travels lead her to exotic cuisines of any sort.

Lisa Oleynik

Designer, Commercial-Hospitality

Born into a family of custom home builders, Lisa discovered her passion for design at a young age. Lisa is a LEED Accredited Professional with diverse project experience ranging from historic preservation and community support facilities to Washington D.C.’s magnificent Union Station. Lisa’s innate design talent is gracefully complimented by her commitment to team work and a warm engaging personality, both of which cultivate strong relationships and an atmosphere of camaraderie. A graduate of Colorado State University, Lisa often takes inspiration from her travels and seeks to impart unique experiential qualities into every design she is involved with.

Nikki Holt

Designer, Residential

Nikki Holt is a talented designer who uses strong communication and project organization skills to help clients realize homes of their dreams. Nikki received her Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, where she graduated Cum Laude. She began her career as a lighting designer working with home builders and home owners across Colorado before transitioning to an interior design role at a firm specializing in high-end model homes. In working as an Interior Merchandiser, Nikki discovered her design passions were in creating interiors the reflect the lifestyles people envision for themselves.

Nikki joins the KTI team to work primarily with private residential clients but, her versatility will allow her to support other areas when needed. Nikki is passionate about sustainable design and strives to promote material choices that are beautiful, functional and responsible. Outside of KTI, Nikki enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy, as well as nurturing her love of music on either the guitar or piano in her own music room.

Stephanie Sagaert

Administrative Assistant,

Stephanie is the first face you’ll see when you arrive at KTI and supports the entire team with acumen and enthusiasm, always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Johnson & Wales University in 2013 along with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts. Stephanie’s warm, open personality and can-do attitude make her an invaluable asset to staff, clients and vendors alike.

Outside of the office Stephanie enjoys long runs on steep slopes, searching for new recipes and enjoying Colorado’s many breweries and culinary escapes.

Favorite time of the year: Late-summer thunderstorms and snow. Not winter, just snow.
